About: 20 year old female student.
Enrolled in a degree of Education, English & Film studies.
I like pugs, kittens, stylish homes/furniture/appliances, pretty clothes, Harry Potter & good books/films.
So expect photos of all of the above & possibly an opinion or two on books I've recently read or films I've recently seen.
SecuestradosSo I watched this little number tonight. It’s a Spanish film about a home invasion. The film itself is beautiful, running at 85 minutes, there are only 12 takes the entire time. Which means we, as an audience, are forced to endure those 85 minutes in almost real time. The director also implements split screens at time, usually when things are most frantic.  I found myself torn between which screen to watch, and even rewinded parts to re-watch the other ‘side’. This film is brutal. There is no other word for it. The violence is cruel, unrelenting and undeserving. When the captives do eventually gain the upper hand it is brutally taken away from them moments later.  This is a hard film to watch, with no underlying moral story. Sometimes bad people do bad things.

Oh, I love the anticipation of a good read.It has been too long since I’ve had the time to just spend the day reading.

Got private health insurance today.
I feel so grown up.

Or this for that matter.
DAVID: Oh, it’s definitely an achievement. I’m not giving it any stars at all.

MARGARET: Oh, David.

I don’t know why I found this so goddamn funny.
DAVID STRATTON: But he is fantastic. And so is, I mean, the two of them are really good. And the women are good, too. It just is a really terrific film. I’m gonna give this 5 out of 5.

MARGARET POMERANZ: Look! I would give it 10 out of 5. I just think it’s so sublime.

DAVID STRATTON: You can’t.

My night

consisted of a good gym session, then watching The Block and Masterchef.
As well as taking a break for say, twenty minutes, to hand feed a possum crackers and a pear.
Before watching my all time favourite episode of The IT Crowd (It’s The Work Outing if you’re wondering)

I am way too good at procrastination.

After watching The Block, all I want to do is buy and renovate my own house.
I really like the young newlywed couple.
They have this really cute, eclectic style that I one day hope to achieve in my own home.
I’ve never watched this series, but I am so, so, into it.
Oh and Masterchef is back.
Goodbye what little social life I had!

An ongoing list of films seen in 2012

Wednesday 8th February - Chronicle 6.5/10
Friday 24th February - Shame 7.5/10
Sunday 26th February - The Grey 5/10
Wednesday 25th April - The Avengers 5/10
Wednesday 2nd May - Delicacy 7.5/10

This movie is adorable. And it’s not because of Audrey Tatou , whom I think is the cutest French woman ever, but because of that balding, badly dressed man to her left. (Francois Damiens)He made the film. The cinema was at times laughing out loud at his bumbling, shy, but above all, charming character.I left the cinema feeling light-hearted and just genuinely content. It was nothing special, or completely original. But I still really enjoyed it, and its message that it’s what on the inside that counts the most.

I’ve been super slack with my movie reviews. My boyfriend dragged me along to see this on opening night. It was packed, which made me feel a little sad because these movies are so predictable and unimaginative. It was was it was. Exactly what I was expecting and nothing more. Entertaining at times. Full of cheesy one-liners. I think having this many superheros makes it a little hard to… I dunno, care about any of them? There was no character motivation. Iron Man was my favourite, but only because Robert Downey Jr. will forever be my favourite.

Every time I see this ad, I can’t help but get really unnecessarily angry at these jerks.
I mean, they can’t even brush out sand, or check for fucking spiders?
Poor dry cleaner…

Waking up at 5 in the morning worrying about literally everything.
My assignments (I have 4 to complete)
My teeth. My wisdom teeth are coming through, and not only hurting, but also fucking up my other teeth.
My house. I have five people staying at our house, one of which keeps vomiting in his sleep. It’s absolutely filthy, and I really don’t want to deal with it in the morning.
Money. I have spent way too much of it this weekend.
My weight. Have drank and ate way too much shit this weekend, and today is technically weigh in day.
